Demetres has implemented accessibility policies to create a welcoming environment for our guests.

Accessibility Policies for Guests

Assistive Devices
Guests with disabilities are welcome use their personal assistive devices in our restaurants.

Communication
Demetres artisans will communicate with guests with disabilities in ways that take their disability into account. Guests with vision loss may request that our team members read any printed materials aloud (e.g., our menu). Alternate formats and communication supports can be arranged in a timely manner, at no extra cost and upon consultation.

Notice of Temporary Disruptions
In the event of a planned or unexpected temporary disruption to facilities or services that guests with disabilities rely on (e.g., washrooms), we will take reasonable steps to notify customers promptly.

Support Persons
A support person may accompany a guest with disabilities. No additional fees will be charged for a support person frequenting our restaurants.

Service Animals
Guests are welcome to visit our premises with service animals.

What Happens Next

  1. Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge receipt of your feedback or complaint within five business days of receipt, unless another timeframe is agreed in advance.

  2. Assessment: We will review the feedback or complaint to understand the nature of the concern and the accessibility barriers reported.

  3. Action Plan: If the feedback or complaint identifies an accessibility issue, we will determine what actions are required (e.g. changes to our training, practices, signage)

  4. Response: We will provide a response that summarizes the actions taken or planned to address the concern.
